If you have rental car coverage, Invision Auto Body will assist you in setting up a rental car for the time your vehicle is being repaired. We suggest that you review your insurance policy for specific rental car information. We can also help you make rental car arrangements if you choose to pay out of pocket for your rental car.
3: What kind of warranty do you offer?
Invision Auto Body offers a limited lifetime warranty that can be found in its entirety on our home page by clicking on the Warranty tab. The paint and workmanship are covered for as long as you own the vehicle and you have the factory warranty on any parts.
4: Am I updated on the process of my vehicle?
From start to finish, Invision Auto Body keeps our customers informed on the process of their vehicle’s repairs from receiving parts and replacing body panels all the way through the paint and detail process. We are happy to provide updates by phone, or by email, depending on your preference.
5: Do you order parts before I drop my vehicle off to avoid unnecessary delays lengthening the time my vehicle is in the shop?
We generally order the parts required to complete your repairs at the time we write the estimate and schedule your vehicle for drop-off unless your vehicle is found unsafe to drive. In that case, we will help you arrange to drop off the vehicle as soon as possible.
6: I took my car to another shop and they wrote an estimate for less money. Should I take my car to them for the repairs?
You may take your car to the shop of your choice. Keep in mind that the estimate amount in question may not include some processes or parts necessary to complete the repairs properly. We will be happy to review estimates with you to explain any differences and to answer your questions regardless of whether or not you choose to bring your car to Invision Auto Body for repair.
7: Can I get factory parts (OEM) for the repairs on my vehicle?
If we are working with an insurance company, they direct the shop as to the parts used for repairs. Please check your insurance policy to see if they allow OEM parts. If your policy does not call for OEM parts, it may be possible to work with you to get OEM parts for your repair. You may discuss this with the Estimator working with you on your repair for details.
8: What happens if there is additional damage found to my car?
A: Typically, the original estimate will only include visual damage. Once the vehicle is disassembled additional hidden damage may be found. This is common for many repairs due to the complexity of today’s vehicles. Invision Auto Body will work directly with the insurance company should supplemental damages be found. In most cases, supplemental communication goes smoothly with the insurance company to repair your vehicle to pre-accident condition.
9: What is a Direct Repair Program shop?
A Direct Repair facility is a body shop that works directly with an insurance company as a preferred shop. DRPs work directly with your insurance company having earned the privilege by meeting certain requirements. These include employing certified technicians, using the proper equipment, and most importantly, having a record of satisfied customers. When you use a preferred shop, the repair process is streamlined. A preferred shop actually writes the estimate, orders the parts, and repairs your vehicle without having to wait for an insurance adjuster’s review or approval. Insurance companies do constantly monitor their preferred shops to make sure repairs are completed to their quality standards.
10: What kind of paint do you use?
We use BASF Diamont paints at Invision Auto Body. We have found the top quality products from BASF to be good to work with providing many years of excellent results.
