Recently the Invision Team had the opportunity to work with Rich Winters, Farmers District Manager, to paint a replica of a P-51 Mustang flown by a local WWII veteran, Captain Mack Goodrich. Read the story below as shared with us by Rich Winters.
Farmers TEAM 25 & Friends,
Last week we honored a local WWII veteran, Captain Mack Goodrich who flew the Mustang P-51 defending our nation by refurbishing and painting a seven foot replica of the exact plane that Captain Mack flew many years ago. The plane was originally purchased by Mack’s son in law, Larry Baumgartner whom I happen to know very well (Larry is my X-Step Father). The first photo show Capt. Mack and Rich Winters standing with Mack’s old photos in the lobby of Invision Auto Body who generously helped by painting and hosting this event.
The second photo shows Chuck Danielson, owner of Invision Auto Body, Rich Winters Farmers District Manager, the actual “Painter” Andy(Helsel) whose grandfather also flew the P-51 Mustangs, Mack’s son Doug, daughter Pam, Son in Law - Larry and Mack’s girlfriend - Celeste.
We were all excited but none so excited than Captain Mack who we thank and honor for his patriotic service to our nation!
Mack, may you know this Memorial Day that we appreciate your service and the many you had the privilege to serve with!
Rich
P.S. It was a real honor to be involved with this project and as always a very special “Thank you” to Mr. Chuck Danielson & Invision Auto Body for all he does for us and for his community!
